Come down on Sunday September 16 to Nola's BBQ in Charlotte for a good cause. Popular local musician, Karen Schroeder, lost her battle with melanoma (a form of skin cancer) this past June. This concert is presented by her loving friends to raise money to support cancer research with hope that one day a cure for this terrible disease will be found.

What the hell is going on?!?! Snowing in April?? Must be Rochester weather.... Sorry it has been so long updating... let me make it up to you with a picture of Erik in leather pants! We do hang at our MySpace page more often these days.... so if you're not too hip to it, check it out and see what it's about.
Thank you to our tainted faithful for stopping out and supporting our band and scene. We love to play music and to hell with all the haters who can't understand why this band is so damn popular. If you're here, you've figured out that we're more than just a cover band.. we play songs across our very own original catalog which spans many bands we've played within our collective career.... past and current. Thanks for singing along and getting to know us and our music.... we wouldn't/couldn't do it without YOU! Weather will be shaping up! See you soon!

Hey Tainted, thanks for a great and memorable summer, we couldn't have had so much fun without you! Not much to report really... we are trying to find time to record a 3 song EP. We may get some down time over the winter to write and get some ideas for next year. We'll see......

The "cat is out of the bag" as they say.... Our home for the better part of 4 years, the Alexander Street Pub, will be closing it's doors on Saturday July 1st. Join us to say goodbye and help turn out the lights... "Why is it closing?" you ask? Because A PUB is getting bigger and better! ASTROPIMP will be playing at Chris's 1st Annual "Back to Rock" show on June 3rd at The Montage Grill with BML, P-Spot, 8th Day, Soup Stone, and The Heaviest Thing On Earth. All proceeds from the event will benefit Alternative For Battered Women's Shelter. This show is all ages and tickets are $5. Doors at 8pm. The Taint will not be playing, so stop down and check out ASTROPIMP!
Also, we've been receiving many emails lately about Ten Ugly Men. Unfortunately, the Taint will not be performing this year. Thanks to the Uglies for having us the past 3 years. Maybe we'll be back next year....

Check us out at the Saddle Ridge (formerly Jillian's) in the High Falls. Opening night on April 6th. In the meantime, we're at Stooges (formerly Curly's) this Saturday on East Ridge Road in Irondequoit. Rico has done wonders with the place and is committed to bringing live music to his new club weekly! Stop out and show some love! See you soon!

Also in the news, The Taint, along with Mike Z and Download helped raise $3000 for The National Center of Missing and Exploited Children to aid in the relief effort for the children effected by Hurrican Katrina. Thank you to all who attended and donated!

Thanks to all who hung out with us at the Alexaner Street Festival and to the members of Uncle Plum who graciously let us tear up the stage with them! As Summer comes to a close, we look forward to Fall! Our schedule has changed quite a bit with a few cancellations, so if you're out looking for some "Taint" be sure to check where we're at!

Thanks to the Ten Ugly Men crew for having us back this year... what a beautiful day it turned out to be... and extra special thanks to Greg Francis for spending the day and taking some pics! More to come soon! We'll be at the High Falls Festival this Friday the 29th on the second stage between 8 and 9 for a 30 minute set.... then we'll finish the night at Tiki Bobs on the back patio... Then on Saturday at the A street Pub we'll have a very special guest sitting in on drums.... Joe Lana of Uncle Plum! Should be a fun night so we'll see you there! Hope you're having a great summer.... and don't work too hard!

Havin a great time this summer thus far! How about you? We've been playing some songs from previous bands we've been in... Of course, a crowd favorite from Apostoly's catalog "Your Mommas on the Bang Bus Dot Com" written by Torsos From Space.... and the newest original is from Anthony's catalog "Death of an Ice Cream Man" written by Astropimp.... if you grew up here in Upstate NY, you know that familiar bell, from off in the distance, Skippy is rollin though the summer haze.... a tribute, if you will. Stop out and visit us at the Alexander Street Pub this weekend!

Happy Summer to you and all your peeps.... we'll be at the Alexander Street Festival on the Main Stage at 8pm.... then catch Uncle Plum inside A st. starting at 11pm.... madness and debauchery is expected. We're also confirmed at this year's Ten Ugly Men Festival from 2:20 to 3:20pm. We'll be sharing the stage with
Uncle Plum, BACCI, Nik and The Nice Guys,.. just to name a few.... Buy some tickets, come out and have some fun for a great cause!
